Two Lights State Park

Two Lights State Park is the perfect coastal day-trip destination. Home to a surplus of coastal shoreline and scenic picnic spots, this park is sure to make you fall in love with coastal Maine.

The park is located off route 77 in Cape Elizabeth Maine. It is one of several parks in the area, as Crescent Beach State Park and Scarborough Beach State Park are also nearby.

The name two lights comes from the two lighthouses situated at the end of Two Lights Road. They were the very first two lighthouses built in the state of Maine! Today, neither is open to the public as one is gated off to the public and the other has become a private residence.

Open daily from 9:00a.m. to sunset, this family-friendly park provides stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and surroundIng coastline. There is so much to enjoy at the park: pack a lunch to enjoy at the scenic picnic areas, enjoy the gorgeous wildflowers while walking along the trails, or let your little ones roam on the playground. Take a short walk to the observation tower and admire the remains of a battery bunker.

However you choose to spend your time at the park, be sure to bring loved ones with you, as every park is best enjoyed when shared with those we love! And as always, be sure to leave no trace and carry out whatever you carry in!

Happy exploring, friends!
